The officers of Georgian law enforcing agencies were searching for Tamar Koberidze (DoB 1982) and Ioseb Mezvrishvili (DoB 1967) for the crime envisaged by the article 180, II part, sub-paragraph A and B and III part of the, sub-paragraph B of the same article which envisages swindling committed in group with a previous consent which caused substantial damage.
In 2013 Tamar Koberidze along with Ioseb Mezvrishvili founded LTD “Italavto” for importing vehicles from Italy to Georgia.
Company founders (with a fraudulent intent) offered their clients decreased prices, for negotiations they used convenient methods and for more credibility arranged “Skype” conference in order to enable potential clients to view vehicles online which were located in Italy. Beginning from September 2013 till October 2014 Tamar Koberidze and her accomplice Ioseb Mezvrishvili concluded mediation services agreement with 21 clients and fraudulently appropriated 180 000 EU resulting in a large amount of material damage caused to the victims.
Interpol Bureau of Georgia announced the mentioned persons as wanted under the red notice worldwide on March 10, 2015. With the aim of finding out whereabouts of the wanted and for further detention, Tbilisi Bureau of Interpol was actively cooperating with Interpol member countries. As a result of activities it was established that Ioseb Mezvrishvili and Tamar Koberidze were in Italy.
On the basis of the request of Tbilisi Bureau of Interpol the mentioned wanted persons were detained in the town of Roberbella. At this moment pre-extradition procedures are underway as defined by the law.
