Ministry of Internal Affairs, hosted the presentation of the collection of rhymes written by police officer Beka Margishvili, who was killed in the line of duty. The presentation, which was dedicated to Margishvili’s birthday anniversary, was attended by his family members and friends.
The guests ones again commemorated Margishvili’s life and activities. Son of the deceased police officer– Otar Margishvili read one of his father’s rhymes during the event.
At the event gusts were also able to see specially made video, dedicated to Beka Margishvili.
Collection of rhymes of Beka Margishvili was published with the finances and initiative of the Minister of Internal Affairs Giorgi Mgebrishvili.
On the evening of April 4, 2015, inspector-investigator of VIII police station of Isani-Samgori Police Division of MIA-Beka Margishvili along with assistant to the detective- Valerian Grdzelishvili was fulfilling his official duties in vicinities of Varketili subway, namely on Javakheti Street when the fire was opened unexpectedly to their direction, leaving both of them wounded. Due to the received injuries Beka Margishvili died after being transferred at the hospital.
Beka Margishvili was awarded with the MIA's First Quality Medal for "Special Merits" for the exceptional courage and devotion in the fight against criminal.
