The racer of the Sport Club “MIA Force” of the Service Agency, the face of the Traffic Safety Program of the MIA and European champion Data Kajaia will compete in the World Car Championship (TCR - TOURING CAR RICING). Mr. Data Kajaia is the first sportsman who will participate in the race on behalf of Georgia. The World Championship will start on April 3, 2016 in Bahrain and will continue on well-known routes of the world's 11 countries.
The Sport Club of the Service Agency of the Ministry of Internal Affairs organized reception in this regard. The event was attended by Mr. Giorgi Mghebrishvili, the Minister of Internal Affairs, members of the Government, Deputy Head of Administration of the Government, the Mayor of Tbilisi, representatives of the Government and business sector.
In his speech Mr. Giorgi Mghebrishvili emphasized the importance of sport and healthy lifestyle actively supported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and called the audience to root for Data Kajaia.
The reception organized by the Sport Club was hosted by Zurab Tsereteli Museum of Modern Art. The vehicles of the Sport Club, cups gained by Davit Kajaia and photos depicting car racings were presented in the exhibition space.
The World Championship live broadcasting along with the variety of TV channels will be transmitted to the Georgian Public broadcaster as well. At the event the “Bank of Georgia” was named as the sponsor of the sportsman.
