A total of 136 recruits took military oath at the Tbilisi, Batumi, Gori and Kutaisi regional bases of the Strategic Facilities Protection Department of the MIA Special and Emergency Measures Center. The ceremony was attended by the officials of the Strategic Facilities Protection Department.
After taking the oath recruits demonstrated their combat skills. Conscripts will undergo one-year compulsory military service at the Strategic Facilities Protection Department of the MIA Special and Emergency Measures Center. They will study military subjects and acquire essential practical skills of professional soldiers. They will also participate in various sports events and will be provided with free medical service and nourishment.
After the completion of the compulsory military service the conscripts having completed the service period with excellence shall be employed in different units of the MIA if they pass the relevant contest successfully.
