Based on the initiative and organization of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Science the commanders and employees of the Strategic Pipeline Protection Department of the MIA Special and Emergency Measures Center hosted the pupils of the local school at the Tsikhisjvari Base of Samtskhe-Javakheti Regional Division within the framework of the informative-educational project “Maintenance of law and crime prevention program for public schools".
The representatives of the Strategic Pipelines Protection Department introduced the pupils to the infrastructure of the base and exhibited various kinds of special equipment for them. The pupils also had the opportunity to observe the special transport means, mountain gear, military and medical equipment and gyms. The meeting was informative-educational manner. The principles and specific operations of SPPD were introduced in Q&A format. The representatives of the Strategic Pipelines Protection Department discussed the security measures and the importance of protection of the pipelines. At the end of the event, the commanders of the Department handed over the memorable gifts to the pupils
The informative-educational campaign of the Ministry of Internal Affairs aimed at informing the pupils on forms of interaction with the law enforcement agencies and on civil rights has launched since the 1stof May. The project is implemented at public schools of capital and regions as well as at ethnic minorities’ schools.
