The Ministry of Internal Affairs in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Science initiated and organized visit of the pupils of Public School N182 to the base of I Division of the Special Tasks Department of the MIA Special and Emergency Measures Center within the framework of the informative-educational project “Maintenance of law and crime prevention program for public schools". The event was attended by the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Mr. Teimuraz Mgebrishvili and the representatives of the Special Tasks Department and the Special and Emergency Measures Center.
The representatives of the I Division of the Special Tasks Department introduced to the pupils from senior classes daily routine of the conscripts and showed them around their accommodation, classrooms, gymnasium, library and training area. The pupils were informed about the theory of training and practical exercises (breaking barriers, wall climbing, martial techniques, shooting range). The armored vehicles, various kind of weapons and equipment located at the base of the Division were especially exhibited for the visitors. The meeting was delivered in a Q&A format. The representatives of the Ministry provided comprehensive answers to the questions of the pupils.
Since 1st of May the Ministry of Internal Affairs has launched the informative-educational campaign aimed at informing pupils on forms of interaction with the law enforcement agencies and on civil rights set by the law, crime prevention among youth by promoting development of the public awareness in the field of law and security.
Promotion of the public awareness among the youth is of the utmost importance for the Ministry of Internal Affairs and continuation of the similar informative-educational meetings ensures enhancing of the moral responsibility and development of the knowledge of civil rights among the pupils.
Within the scope of the campaign, the informative-educational project - “Maintenance of law and crime prevention program for public schools" is implemented at public schools of capital and regions as well as at ethnic minority schools
