Officers of the Border Police as a result of activities held on the second sector (Kirtani) of the first division (Batumi) detained Turkish citizen Omer B. (DoB 1984) and Georgian citizen Zaza G. (DoB 1985) who were detained for attempting to cross Georgian state border illegally.
Investigation established that detainees attempted to leave the Georgian territory by avoiding to through the border crossing point.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of the attempted crossing of the Georgian state border by the group, article 19-344, II part, sub-paragraph A of the Criminal Code. Investigation is conducted by investigation-operative main division of the Border Police.
