Director of Emergency Situations Management Agency Zviad Katsashvili along with the governor of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Levan Shonia have solemnly opened newly reconstructed building of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti regional division of Emergency Situations Management Agency.
Newly reconstructed two-storey building is provided with the latest technic and inventory. In the mentioned building 46 firefighters and 37 officers will be employed. Firefighters received new daily uniforms. Zigdidi will be provided with three firefighting vehicle and 2 vehicles for rescuing civilians.
The event was attended by deputy directors of Emergency Situations Management Agency, representatives of the agency and local governance.
Guests viewed newly reconstructed building, firefighting equipment and other special appliances.
Firefighters held simulation show; they descended the “injured” person from the high building with a rope, presented fire extinguishing methods and jumped from the high building on the evacuation pillow.
