Rescuers of Emergency Situations Management Agency of the Ministry of Internal Affairs along with Border Police officers found the body of the 52 year old pheasant Giorgi Shetikauri lost in Shatili as a result of search and rescue operation.
On June 2 in the left tributary of Khonistskali river valley located in vicinities of Khonistchala village, landslide occurred and rock collapsed triggering the mudflow owning to which the pheasant went missing.
Operative Response Center 112 received report on the missing pheasant based on which search and rescue operation was launched immediately. Clearing and search operation was conducted on 700 meters length territory with 8-9 meters depth. Rescuers of Special Emergency Situations Response Division of Emergency Situations Management Agency of MIA located Giorgi Shetikauri’s body early in a hut, early morning on June 12.
