The rescuers of Emergency Situations Management Agency of MIA timely offered help to German tourists in Ushba, Mestia Region.
The Emergency Response Center "112" of MIA received call on the fact that German tourists moving in the direction of Ushba peak required the help of rescuers. The leg of one of the tourists was injured and due to sharp pain he could not continue his way.
The group consisting of 6 individuals from border police and 7 individuals from Second Mountain-Rescue 7th Subunit of the Division for Response to Special Emergency Situations of the Emergency Situations Management Department of the MIA was immediately sent to the scene in order to bring injured and missing tourists.
The tourist fall in a cleft could not move, the rescuers were carrying him in hands for about 10 km and managed to bring him safely to the village Becho. As a result of joint successful rescue operation the rescuers of the Emergency Situations Management Agency and frontiers of the Border Police brought German tourists to Mestia. The injured tourist by an ambulance was transferred to the local hospital.
