Director of Humanitarian Bureau of the US Department Gerald Obendorfer and representatives of the US Embassy to Georgia visited Rescue/Training Division base of MIA Emergency Management Department.
Humanitarian cargo which was donated by the US Department and under the ownership of the "Counterpart" international organization is 1 600 000 million USD worth and contains: sleeping bags, medical aid, field and household appliances as well as beds and tents. All of the above mentioned items belong to basic commodities in emergency situations. Set of emergency items will help Georgian citizens to be prepared during catastrophes and emergencies
Head of Emergency Management Department Zviad Katsashsvsili and deputy head of the mission Aaron Fishman have also signed memorandum of understanding on co-operation.
