MIA Emergency Situations Management Department hosted delegation of the Department of Investigation and Combat against Organized Crime of Federal Criminal Police of Germany. Delegation is comprised of: Deputy Ambassador of Germany Monica Lenhard, First Secretary of the Embassy Martina Chistoferson, Consultant on Crises Situations Ingo Sera, representative of International Relations Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany Claus Buchmiller and representative of Crises Response center of Germany Iana Kirch. Delegation was hosted by the Director of Emergency Situations Management Department Zviad Katsashvili and his deputy Levan Buiglishvili as well as Teimuraz Kordzaia.
At the meeting guests got familiarized with functions, missions, future plans and legislation of the Emergency Situations Management Department on the basis of which management of the responses on crises situations are held. Members of delegation also received comprehensive information on large-scale search and rescue operation held in Borjomi-Kharagauli national park for finding 73 year old German scientist, Hans Hoefle who has gone missing on June 8.
At the meeting sides discussed prospects for future co-operation in order to make improvements in the field of management during crises situations. Members of delegation expressed their readiness to assist Emergency Situations Management Department by means of implementing various projects.
