Employees of Emergency Situations Management Agency along with Akhmeta and Telavi police divisions of Kakheti police department as a result of search and rescue activities rescued 4 passengers of vehicle which fell into the deep gorge near Torgva baths, Telavi region.
Operative Response Center 112 received an emergency call that on Pshavi-Omali highway sector vehicle full of Israeli citizens fell into the deep gorge and needed help.
As soon as the information was received Employees of Emergency Situations Management Agency Employees of Emergency Situations Management Agency along with Akhmeta and Telavi police divisions made operative response and departed to the place right away. Search and rescue operation continued whole night. Despite the difficult location and poor weather condition rescuers and policemen managed to take 4 people out of the 80m depth gorge and transported them to hospital. 2 bodies of minors were also detected in the gorge who died as a result of the car accident. During the rescue operation one rescuer got injuries.
Investigation is in progress under the article 276 of the Criminal Code (Violation of Traffic Safety or Maintenance Rule).
