As a result of mine cleansing operation held by the officers of Special and Emergency Measures Center it was established the explosive devices were not found in the living block N 33a located on Paliashvili Street, in the buildings of N55 and N2 public schools, Ilia State University. It was also ascertained that false information was reported. Investigation regarding the mentioned facts is in progress under the article 331, I part of the Criminal Code on the fact of false notification.
Ministry would like to inform you that in September of 2013 changes were made to the article 331 of the Criminal Code, according to which measures of punishment for committing crime envisaged by the article 331(false notification on terrorism) became more strict. The term of imprisonment for committing the mentioned crime has been established from 5 to 7 instead of 3 to 5 years of imprisonment.
Changes have also been made to the article 172 of Administrative Offences Code in which 151 article was added according to which constant and unreasonable calls to 112 in connection with the same event envisages considerable amount of sum to be paid as fine. According to the changes made to the article 172, unreasonable calls made in 112 by under aged person envisages legal responsibility of the parent.
