Emergency Situations Management Agency received report from Emergency Response Center “112” that fire broke out in the forest located near to Artana village, Telavi municipality. As soon as the report was received, MIA rescuers arrived at the place. Due to the difficult relief, helicopter was involved in the operation to make fire-extinguishing activities more effective. At this moment, main fire pockets have been localized.
Fire also broke out in the forest area located near to Shilda village, Kvareli municipality. In the fire-extinguishing activities employees of the National Forestry Agency are involved along with MIA fire-fighters, as well as helicopter.
Dozens of fire-fighters and MIA helicopter carry out fire-extinguishing works in Mta-Tusheti, near to Khakhabo village.
Fire also broke out in Kazbegi municipality, near to Juta village, in alpine zone. For fire-liquidation reasons, dozens of MIA fire-fighters along with firefighting technic are mobilized on the place.
On all of the mentioned locations, firefighting activities are held in round-the-clock regime to liquidate fire.
