The fictional-Documentary film “Who Assassinated Ilia” shot by the MIA Archive was displayed for the conscripts at the assembly hall of I Special Tasks Division Base of the Special Tasks Department of the MIA Special and Emergency Measures Center. The film depicts the final path to Saguramo of the famous Georgian writer and public figure and is based on the criminal cases kept in the MIA Archive.
The film presentation was attended by the leadership of the Special Tasks Department of the MIA Special and Emergency Measures Center and the creative group of the film as well: film screenwriter and director - Mikheil Berinashvili, producer - Eka Katsitadze and historian - Tengiz Simashvili. The team discussed the process of film-making and the investigation of the circumstances surrounding the assassination.
The event was aimed at enhancing the awareness of the conscripts. Similar cultural-educational activities will take place in the future as well by the support of the MIA Archive.
