238 recruits of the Special Tasks Department of the Special and Emergency Measures Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs participated in the military oath taking ceremony. The ceremony was attended by Police Colonel Merab Malania, the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, Mr. Mindia Lortkipanidze, the Director of the Special Tasks Department of the Special and Emergency Measures Center and officials of the structural units of the MIA.
Mr. Merab Malania congratulated the recruits with enrollment to the army of the Special Tasks Department and presented diplomas to the successful graduates.
The recruits will serve one year compulsory military service; they will learn military disciplines and get familiarized with professional skills. The soldiers will participate in various sport events and will be provided with free medical service.
Upon completion of mandatory military service successful servicemen will be employed in different units of the MIA after winning the relevant competition.
