Today the Consultative Group of Standing Committee of the „European Convention on Spectator Violence and Misbehaviour at Sport Events and in particular at Football Matches“ (T-RV Standing Committee) paid an official visit to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia.
The experts met representatives of the Ministry responsible for safety protection at sport events, namely: Special Objects Protection Department of the Special and Emergency Measures Center, Patrol Police Department, International Relations Department, Tbilisi Police Main Division, Security Police, Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs. At the meeting, experts got familiarized with the duties and functions of respective agencies at sport events. The visit aims at elaborating recommendations and suggestions for improvement of safety protection mechanisms to be carried out by respective agencies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia.
