The officers of Anti-corruption and State Security Agencies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs as a result of operative-searching and investigative activities exposed and detained employees of “Georgian Railway”on the fact of commercial bribery committed in group. Detainees are: Vasil Gogoladze and Gocha Kopadze (doB 1973).
Investigation established that in 2014 till 2015 head of Borjomi station-Gocha Kopadze and main engineer of the station-Vasil Gogoladze extorted 150 GEL on the regular basis from the citizen who was watching over the parking venue in vicinities of the Borjomi Station.
In case of refusing to pay, they threatened him that parking territory belonged to the station and would ban him from his job.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of commercial bribery committed in group, article 221, IV part of the Criminal Code. Investigation is conducted by Anti-corruption Agency.
