The officers of Anti-corruption of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Ministry of Corrections as a result of jointly held operative-searching and investigative activities Inspector-jurist Guram Surmanidze – head of N3 facility of penitentiary department for bribery.
Investigation established that Guram Surmanidze, by misusing his official powers promised to the certain citizen bring the mono card for the mobile phone with him inside the N3 facility of the penitentiary department and in return demanded 2000 GEL.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of bribery, article 338, I part, which envisages from 6 to 9 years of imprisonment. Investigation is conducted by the Anti-Corruption Agency of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
