The officers of Anti-corruption Agency of the Ministry of Internal Affairs as a result of operative-searching and investigative activities exposed and detained the social agent of Marneuli regional unit of “Social Service Agency” Levan Naveriani for bribery.
Investigation established that Levan Naveriani, while fulfilling his official duties, promised to the certain citizen to assist him in receiving the status of socially vulnerable and in receiving monthly aid from the state. Levan Naveriani also convinced the citizen that his social status would not be checked by other social agent and demanded a bribe, stating that he would receive 350 each year from the citizen. In November 2014 he accepted part of the bribe 200 GEL and in March 2015-150 GEL.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of bribery, article 338, I part of the Criminal Code which envisages from 6 to 9 years of imprisonment.
