The officers of Zugdidi police division of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Regional Main Division as a result of operative-searching and investigative activities detained several times convicted in past Valer B. (DoB 1951) for robbery.
Investigation established that on March 16, detainee blocked the road with his vehicle to “Mercedes” made vehicle owned by Nino B. – employee of currency exchange booth. Valer B. smashed the windshield of the vehicle and grabbed the handbag with 40000 GEL in it from Nino B’s mother- Guli M. and fled from the place of crime.
As a result of investigative activities law enforcers detained Valer B. in Zugdidi, several days after the crime.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of robbery, article 178, III part, sub-paragraph A of the Criminal Code. Investigation is conducted by Zugdidi police division of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Regional Main Division.
