On February 15-16 and 22-23 representatives of personal data protection apparatus and MIA International Relations Department held joint trainings on the issue of personal data protection at MIA. The mentioned trainings were held on the memorandum concluded on February 15 between MIA Academy and Aparatus for the Protection of Personal Information and is aimed at to train MIA personnel. Training participants got acquainted with the “Code on protection of Personal Data protection” and “Instruction of MIA on personal data processing and protection”.
The mentioned instruction was elaborated within the frames of visa liberation action plan. Instruction on processing and protection on personal data”, Georgian law regulations and “law on regulating and usage of personal data in Police Sphere” were adopted on the basis of standards and recommendations concluded ministers’ committee of European Council in September 17, 1987.
