The officers of the Division for Especially Important Cases of the Main Division Combating Organized Crime of the Central Criminal Police Department of the MIA as a result of investigative activities conducted on the basis of the operative information detained Vazha G. (D.o.B.: 1991) in Gldani settlement, Tbilisi for illegal purchase and keeping of firearms and ammunition.
During the search of a detainee`s house the law enforcers seized “Marakov” system 2 unregistered pistols, 2 unregistered hunting rifles and 27 bullets.
The detainee has already pleaded guilty.
The investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal purchase and keeping of firearms and ammunition (Article 236, parts II of the Criminal Code of Georgia).
