The officers of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti regional division of the Central Criminal Police Department as a result of the investigative activities held on the basis of operative information detained Shavleg K. (DoB 1990) and Papuna Q. (DoB 1980) for illegal purchase, keeping and carrying of firearms and ammunition.
Investigation established that Papuna Q. purchased firearms and illegally kept them in the house owned by Shavleg K’s house.
During the searching activities held in Shavleg K’s house law enforcers seized AK-74 automatic weapon, „TS 870“ smooth barreled hunting rifle with a cylinder-shaped cartridge as well as 38 bullets aimed for various types of arms, one cartridge, gloves and black hat.
Drug test revealed that detainees were consumers of drugs. Both of them have already pleaded guilty.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal purchase, keeping and carrying of firearms and ammunition, article 236, II and III parts envisaged by the Criminal Code.
