The officers of Batumi Police Division of Ajara Main Division of MIA as a result of operative-investigative activities detained in Batumi previously convicted and currently on probationary sentence, Mamuka A. (Dob 1984) for illegal purchase, keeping and carrying of firearms and armament.
During the personal search of detainee law enforcers seized “Makarov” system pistol with 1 magazine and 6 bullets. Detainee has already pleaded quilty.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal purchase, keeping and carrying of firearms and ammunitions, article 236, II part of the Criminal Code.
