The officers of Mestia police division of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Regional Main Division as a result of searching-investigative activities held on the basis of operative information detained Nodar I. (DoB 1955) in Latali village for illegal purchase and keeping of firearms and ammunition.
During the searching activities held in detainee’s house law enforcers seized AKC automatic firearm with 4 cartridges and 126 bullets. According to the results of expertise the firearm and bullets have been regarded as suitable for shooting. Detainee has already pleaded guilty.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal purchase and keeping of firearms and ammunition, article 236, I part of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
