The officers of Central Criminal Police Department along with Shida Kartli Regional Main Division and First Division of the mentioned Department, as a result of joint searching and investigative activities held on the basis of operative information detained members of the organized criminal group for illegal selling of firearms, in particular: Teimuraz G. (DoB 1958), Zurab G (DoB 1985) and Niko K. (DoB 1985).
Investigation established that members of the organized criminal group sold firearms from time to time in return for certain amount of cash.
During the searching activities of the house of Teimuraz G. law enforcers seized 4 pistols rrready for realization, while one pistol and 3 bullets were seized from the house of Zurab G.
According to the results of expertise law enenforcers seized 4 Gloc pistols, 1 handmade automatic pistol and three bullets.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal purchase and keeping and carrying and selling of firearms, article 236, I and III part of the Criminal Code of Georgia. The committed crime envisages from 3 to 10 years of imprisonment.
