The officers of Adigeni police unit of Samtskhe-javakheti Regional Main Division, as a result of searching and investigative activities detained Vladimer Z. (DoB 1987) Iuri O. (DoB 1975) Stepan A. (DoB 1963) for robbery. They were detained as a result of immediate measures in Tbilisi.
Investigation established that on January 23 detainees robbed monastery located in Abastumani settlement, Adigeni district and stole 2 ancient samovars and other items plated with gold and silver. Later detainees took the stolen items to Tbilisi in order to sell them at one of the trading centers.
Law enforcers detained the mentioned persons in several hours after the crime took place and stolen items were seized as evidences.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of robbery, article 177, II part, sub-paragraphs A and B and part III, sub-paragraph A of the Criminal Code.
