The officers Chakvi Unit of Achara Regional Main Division as a result of operative-investigation activities detained Zaur M (DoB 1977) for illegal purchase for illegal purchase and keeping of illegal firearms and ammunition in Chaisubani village, Kobuleti region.
As a result of searching activities held at detainees house and barn the officers seized 2784 bullets meant for various types of firearms, A-KA-N and A-Ka 74, 25 automatic weapon cartridges, various types of grenades, 2 knives and “Valter” type pistol. According to the results of expertise, firearms and ammunition are suitable for shooting. The detainee has already pleaded guilty.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal purchase and keeping of firearms and ammunition, article 236, I part of the Criminal Code.
