The Ministry of Internal Affairs hosted up to 200 senior students from 13 Universities at the Career Development Forum held in the Academy of the MIA. The main purpose of the Forum was to provide information to the students regarding the activities of the agency and attract qualified and motivated staff. The event was attended by Mr. Giorgi Kvirikashvili, the Prime Minister of Georgia, Mr. Giorgi Mghebrishvili, the Minister of Internal Affairs and other members of the Government.
At the Career Development Forum the representatives of the structural units of the MIA provided information regarding the activities of certain services and existing vacancies. The technique and equipment belonging to the Departments participating in the Forum were presented in the pavilions specially arranged for the event. Also, tactical exercises were held.
Within the frames of the Forum, distance learning presentation took place at the Academy of MIA.
The Academy along with the professional trainings provides higher education and currently a new distance learning system is introduced, which will make the educational process even more flexible for the students. By the initiative of Mr. Giorgi Mghebrishvili, the Minister of Internal Affairs the Academy of the MIA is planned to be transformed into the Regional Police Educational Center and for this purpose the Georgian party closely cooperates with the United States. Career Development Forum will be held annually in the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
