The officers of Marneuli police division of Kvemo Kartli Police Department as a result of operative-searching and investigative activities detained Azerbaijani citizen –I.M. (DoB 1990) wanted by Baku bureau of Interpol from 2014 under the red notice. The mentioned person was wanted for illegal crossing of the state border and illicit purchase and keeping of firearm.
Law enforcers detained I.M. when he was driving a vehicle in vicinities of Parvana village. During the search f the vehicle police seized AKM automatic weapon, two cartridges and 50 bullets as evidence.
Investigation established that I.M. was wanted by Baku Bureau of Interpol under the red notice.
Detainee has already pleaded guilty.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal crossing of the state border and illicit purchase and keeping of firearm, article 344 and article 236 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
