The Minister of Internal Affairs Giorgi Mgebrishvili attended a border aviation day marking ceremony at the Border Police Special Aviation Main Office.
Giorgi Mgebrishvili congratulated border police pilots with their professional day and thanked them for their service.“You are protectors of the homeland’s borders and a hope for the border, and particularly for a mountain population. You have shown your qualification and commitment not once, especially while helping people when every second counts. Often in emergency situations, at the expense of your own lives you have saved citizens of Georgia and tourists in our country” – declared Minister of Internal Affairs, adding: “Let me express my sincere gratitude for your service to well-being of our country and its citizens.”
Giorgi Mgebrishvili and Dato Nikoleishvili, Head of the MIA Border Police awarded the personnel of the Special Aviation Main Office with the Certificates of Gratitude.
The ceremony was in attendance of the representatives from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as well as pilots’ family members.
A Border Aviation day has been marked in Georgia since 1999.
