The officers of Old Tbilisi police division as a result of operative-investigative activities detained T.G. (DoB 1954) on the fact of Misappropriation of Object of Historical, Cultural, Scientific or National Value.
Investigation established that detainee stole two books of historic and cultural value issued in 18th and 19th century, from the national library, located on Gudiashvili Street, Tbilisi. In order to hide the traces of crime he replaced the books with other ones.
Detainee has already pleaded guilty.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of Misappropriation of Object of Historical, Cultural, Scientific or National Value, article 183, I part, sub-paragraph A of the Criminal Code.
