The officers of Samtskhe-Javakheti Regional Main Division of Adigeni, Akhaltsikhe and Borjomi units, as a result of joint investigative activities based on the operative information exposed 14 persons: Isaak B (Dob 1972), Jambul K (DoB 1971), Gocha M (DoB 1980), Archil Sh (DoB 1984), Mindia Ts (DoB 1981), Nodar G (DoB 1957), Davit K (DoB 1982), Giorgi M (DoB 1986), Zakaria S (DoB 1979), Zakaria A (DoB 1971), Levan Kh (DoB 1987), Gela Ph (DoB 1966), Manuchar P (DoB 1982) and Shalva G (DoB 1957) to illegal cutting of trees and plants, Illegal Utilization of Forest, violations of timber transportation and realization, and violation of timber processing facility directive requirements.
The law enforcers seized illegally cut 13 pieces 5 meters long coniferous wood material from Mindia Ts. owned vehicle in village Sviri. The exposed tried to flee from the place of crime as soon as the officers discovered his vehicle loaded with illegally cut wood, but the officers found him in the same wood soon afterwards.
The law enforcers seized 5 metres long 28 pieces and 3 meters long 55 pieces of illegally cut wood material in Adigeni region, 3 meters long 26 pieces and 10 cubic meters of cut wood in Borjomi region, 3 meters long 18 pieces of illegally cut wood in Alkhaltsikhe region and sealed illegal sawmills in all the three regions.
The investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal cutting of trees and plants, Illegal Utilization of Forest, violation of timber processing facility directive requirements Article 303 part I of the criminal code of Georgia, Articles 66, 128 prima II and IV parts, article 128 prima part 3 of Code of Administrative Offences of Georgia.
