Emergency Situations Management Agency mini-football team became the winner of the spring tournament. The team dedicated its victory to the memory of Zurab Muzashvili – rescuer who died in the rescue-operation on 13 June natural disaster day.
The final match in mini-football was held between Patrol Police and Emergency Situations Management Agency teams.
The basic time of the match concluded with draw 1:1, whilst during additional times both teams managed to score but the match concluded with draw 2:2 again. Penalty series were held in accordance with the rules, which brought the victory to the Emergency Situations Management team and the match concluded with the score 4;3.
Patrol Police team became the second prize winner in the tournament, whilst the third place went to Security Police Department team.
The winner teams were awarded with MIA Cup, medals and certificates. The tournament bombardier– Giorgi Bukhrashvili (Counterintelligence Department) was also revealed. The title of the best goalkeeper went to Gocha Datiashvili (Border Police).
The match was attended by Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia Levan Izoria, the head of Patrol Police Department David Tsinaridze and the head of Emergency Situations management Agency Zviad Katsashvili. The personnel of various departments and units of MIA cheered the football players.
The tournament was held under the initiative of the MIA administration. Matches between teams of MIA structural units, territorial bodies, LEPLs and state agency – Border Police of Georgia were held within the tournament.
The championship was held according to the circle system involving 27 sub-divisions of MIA. The arbiters of FIFA Footzal under GFF umpired the tournament.
