The officers of the first and fifth police units of Old Tbilisi Police division as a result of jointly held immediate operative-investigative activities detained two Iranian citizens – Alizera A. (DoB 1968) and Reza I. (DoB 1988) for committing stealing.
Investigation established that detainees stole 3800 GEL from the citizen in one of the banks located in Tbilisi and fled from the crime scene. Police also ascertained that detainees also stole 500 USD from currency exchange booth located on Leselidze Street.
Lalw enforcers managed to arrest both detainees at Tbilisi International Airport when they attempted to leave the country. The stolen sum was seized by the law enforcers as evidence.
Detainees have already pleaded guilty.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of stealing, article 177, II part of the Criminal Code.
