The officers of Kobuleti police division of Ajara police department as a result of operative-investigataive activities detained previously convicted Gogita G. (DoB 1992) previously convicted Giorgi K. (DoB 1985) and currently on probationary sentence- Besik M. (DoB 1988) for armes assault committed in group.
Investigation established that on October 26 detainees physically assaulted the employee of the gas station located in Gvara village, appropriated 400 GEL and under the pressure of the arms and fled from the place of crime. The next day detainees robbed owner of the currency exchange booth and appropriated 11000 GEL, 3000 Turkish Liras and 1531 US dollars.
All of the accused persons were detained several days later after the crime took place. in the moment of detention besik M. offered resistance to the policemen. During the personal search policemen seized 2 pistols, bullets, one cartridge and a cold steel from the detainee as well as the part of the stolen sum.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of arms assault committed by the group, resistance to the law enforcers and illegal purchase, keeping and carrying of firearms and ammunition, article 179, Ii part, sub-paragraph “B”, article 353 I par and article 236 II and III parts of the Criminal Code.
