The officers of Marneuli police division of Kvemo Kartli police department along with central Criminal Police Department, as a result of jointly held operative-investigative and investigative activities detained previously convicted G,K, (DoV 1987) for illegal purchase-keeping and smuggling of drugs. The mentioned person was detained in vicinities of the “Sadakhlo” customs.
During the personal search of the detainee law enforcers seized 140 pills of “piralgin” drug which according to the results of expertise contains codeine.
Investigation established that detainee smuggled drug containing pills from Armenia. Detainee has already pleaded guilty.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal purchase-keeping and smuggling of drugs, article 260 I part and 262 I part of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
