The officers of Tbilisi Police Mai Division along with Imereti Racha-Lechkhumi and Kcemo Svaneti Regional Main Division as a result of jointly held operative-searching and investigative activities detained previously convicted for attempted murder Jimsher A. (DoB 1967) for committing premeditated murder.
Investigation established that late at night on June 1 detainee, being under the influence of alcohol, inflicted injuries in chest area with a cold steel to his wife – Luda G. on the basis of conflict and fled from the place of crime. The victim was transferred to the hospital by the ambulance where she died due to the received injuries.
As a result of immediate operative-searching and investigative activities detained held by the law enforcers Jimsher A. was detained in Kharagauli on the second daya aftere the crime took place. Detainee has already pleaded guilty.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of premeditated murder, article 108 of the Criminal Code.
