The officers of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Regional Main Division as a result of investigative activities held on the basis of operative information detained previously convicted Teimuraz M. (DoB 1957) in Zugdidi for illegal purchase and keeping of drugs in especially large quantities.
During the personal search of the detainee policemen seized 24 packages of drug weighing 8,34gr. According to the results of expertise the seized drug contains 4,3672 gr of methadone.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal purchase and keeping of drugs in especially large quantities, article 260, III part of the Criminal Code.
