The officers of Mestia Regional Division of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Police Department of the MIA as a result of the operative-searching activities detained Salaref G. (DoB 1991) for illegal purchase and keeping of firearms.
During the search of the house of the detainee policemen seized AKS model submachine gun, 1 magazine and 11 cartridges. Detainee has already pleaded guilty.
The investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal purchase and keeping of firearms (Article 236, part II of the Criminal Code of Georgia).
