All investigative agencies of Georgia include the structural subunits of the Ministries which conduct investigation of criminal cases according to their subordination, in particular: Chief Prosecutor’s Office of Georgia, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of defense, Ministry of Corrections, Ministry of Finance, State Security Service, Ministry of Internal Affairs.

In January, 2016 3183 crimes were registered by all investigative agencies of Georgia; 1211 crimes were solved among them. Index of solving crime cases is 38.05%. To compare the results with the results of the previous year’s same period the number of crimes has been increased by +3.95%.
According to the investigative subordination of the territorial units of the MIA

2125 crimes were solved in January, 2016 according to the investigative subordination of the territorial units of the MIA; 1103 crimes among them are solved. Index of solving crime cases is 51.91%. To compare the results with the results of the previous year’s same period the number of crimes has been increased by +1.87%.
