The officers of Senaki Regional Division of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Police Department of the MIA as a result of the operative-searching activities detained Ruben P. (DoB 1949) for illegal purchase, and keeping of firearms and ammunition.
During the search of a detainee`s house the law enforcers seized "AKM" model submachine gun, “MAKAROV” system pistol, 222 bullets, 7 cartridges, “F-1” type 2 hand grenades and 2 explosives with detonators.
The detainee has already pleaded guilty.
The investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal purchase and keeping of firearms and ammunition (Article 236, parts II of the Criminal Code of Georgia).
