The officers of the Central Criminal Police Department as a result of the operative-searching and investigative activities detained previously convicted two persons: G.K. (DoB 1965) and V.A. (DoB 1977) for the purchase, keeping and realization of the forged money.
Investigation established that with a previous consent purchased 500 EU which were forged. The mentioned cash was realized in one of the currency exchange booths, thus causing 1305 Gel woth fiscal damage to the owner.
During the search activities held in detainee’s house law enforcers also found unregistered Makarov pistol with 4 bullets as evidence. Law enforcers also seized forged currency.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of purchase, keeping and realization of the forged money, article 212, I and II parts as well as the article 236, II part of the Criminal Code.
