The officers of Kakheti Police Department of the MIA as a result of the immediate operative-searching and investigative activities detained M. Ch. (D.o.B.: 1996) for premeditated murder.
The investigation established that on August 12, this year on the road to Tusheti from Lechuri village, Telavi region the accused, as a result of a quarrel, inflicted multiple injuries with a cold arm to the citizen of the USA (D.o.B.: 1975) and fled from the place of crime. The wounded died on the place.
Law enforcers detained the accused in several minutes.
Police officers seized the knife as evidence. Detainee has already pleaded guilty. Investigation is in progress on the fact of premeditated murder (article 108 of the Criminal Code of Georgia).
