The officers of National Interpol Bureau of Georgia along with Patrol Police Department of Achara Regional Main Division under MIA as a result of jointly held activities detained the citizen of Turkey Erdoghan Dagdeviren (DoB 1968) at Sarpi border checkpoint while entering Georgia from Turkey. The mentioned person was wanted by INTERPOL Wiesbaden since 24.03.2015 on International level.
Erdoghan Dagdeviren is convicted for committing crimes envisaged by article N25 part II of the Criminal Code and article 370 parts I and II of the Tax Code which implies avoidance of paying taxes.
Erdoghan Degdeviren ran a company “Cestel” (France), which implemented purchase of cigarettes in large quantities. The unpaid taxes amounted up to 5 684 740, 31 EUROS.
At the moment pre-extradition procedures envisaged by law are underway.
