The officers of the Division Combating Criminals of the Main Division Combating Organized Crime of the Central Criminal Police Department of the MIA along with the officers of the State Security Service as a result of the investigative activities detained Joni K. (D.o.B.: 1981) in the village Ruisi, Gori region for illegal purchase and keeping of firearm and ammunition.
The law enforcers in the house of Joni K. seized “AKS” model unregistered submachine gun, 2 Parabellum pistols, 2 "Walter" system pistols and 48 bullets of various types of firearms. The detainee has already pleaded guilty.
The investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal purchase and keeping of firearms and ammunition (Article 236, part II of the Criminal Code of Georgia).
