The officers of Kakheti Regional Main Division as a result of immediate operative-investigative activities detained Tengiz A. (DoB 1956) for premeditated murder.
Investigation established that being under the alcohol influence; Tengiz A. inflicted lethal injury in chest area with a knife to his wife, Ekaterine M. (DoB 1978) on the basis of jealousy and inflicted self-injury in the yard of his house after the murder. Ambulance crew transferred wowunded spouses to the regional hospital, however Ekaterine M. died shortly after she was admitted at the hospital. At this moment the health condition of Tengiz A. is satisfactory.
The weapon of murder was seized by policemen. Detainee has already pleaded guilty.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of premeditated murder, article 108 of the Criminal Code.
