The officers of the Central Criminal Police Department as a result of the searching and investigative activities held on the basis of operative information, detained D.M (DoB 1968) for drug related crime at Tbilisi International Airport.
Law enforcers seized buprenorphine containing 150 pills, 14 pills of methadone and methadone powder -0,4962gr. Investigation established that detainee purchased the mentioned drugs on the territory of Turkish Republic and smuggled on the territory of Georgia.
Drug test revealed that detainee was a drug addicted person.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal purchase, keeping and smuggling of drugs in especially large quantities, article 260, VI part, sub-paragraph A and article 262, IV part sub-paragraph A of the Criminal Code.
